Resolved Question: Another pela for help removing Malware?

I am in Canada. I paid $75 for someone to remove spyware/malware from my computer over the phone - spent 45 minutes at it, paid, but still have the same malware. I use F-Secure, which is free through my internet provider, Cogeco. I am scared to download other spyware removal etc. in case I "screw something up." Open Question: Is there any proxy that has support for basically everything?

I know there's a lot of proxies out there that have various degrees of support for different web things such as SSL, JavaScript....etc. I was looking for a proxy that has support for absolutely everything, any scripts, cookies, anything at every, it just hides the computer's IP adress and that's it... I'm not sure if that's fiction or there is such a thing, if there is please tell me, oh and it has to be an online proxy, not a program that you run. Please don't post anything asking me why I need it to do this, just tell me if there is or not. What I'm trying to do is go past my school's proxy and go into LogMeIn, which is a program that lets me connect to my laptop at home. Any proxy so far is not competent for this, so I was wondering if there's anything moer.

Open Question: Site Builder keeps wanting to publish a file I deleted....help!?

I had previously tried to add a video file to my website using the Insert>Video option in Site Builder, however I have realized that the file is too big to work with so I deleted it from the page but it still is trying to publish the file. I have opened and closed Site Builder several times, close down the computer, emptied cookies, deleted and re-added everything on that page, even moved the file to a different location on my computer. Sitebuilder is STILL trying to publish the file which is causing it to lock up because the file is too big. The file is not located in my Sitebuilder website files. How can I fix this so I can update my website???

Open Question: What do I do when my fiancé doesn’t want sex but still uses porn?

Ok so for the past two months my sex life with my fiance is severely suffering. We used to have sex at least twice a week then now it is weeks and weeks before any... and I mean any intimate contact! I brought up the change and he says he is a little depressed (not due to the relationship) and therefore doesn’t have a sex steer right now. Being empathetic I backed off and supported him. However, last week I found a porn website on the history (found by accident... not snooping) and I brought it up to him to look if maybe is feeling better. He said it was a fluke that he was horny and I wasn’t around so he took care of it. Ok... whatever I thought and told him that I don’t want the computer getting action when I am not. BUT yesterday I went online and again there was a porn site in the history... This made me think a few things... 1. is it another fluke 2. is he just starting to feel better but not enough to want full out sex with me... 3. OR the worst explanation ... IS it me?? How arrive the computer is getting more action than me?!?!?! I haven’t really changed much... maybe ten extra pounds but that is due to the depo that he insists I be on. so he understands that. From posting this earlier I got a lot of very good suggestions but now more has happened… I looked in the “cookies” to find what and when and how often these sites were visited and I was SHOCKED to discover that he went on for at least two hours WHILE I WAS SLEEPING IN THE BED RIGHT NEXT TO THE COMPUTER!!!! I was so disgusted I literally got sick at the thought! What a slap in the face!! So I confronted him asking if he had done it more than that one time I found out about… of course he lied. I came out with what I had found and he went into defense mode… saying that I shouldn’t care, he was just being a man, he was bored, and that it has nothing to do with me. But then retracted to say that he was bored with our sex life!! I clearly pointed out to him that HE is the one who always wants it a certain way@!!!!! So now he has left in a rage and I am left feeling disgusted in his behavior and myself (feeling like I have caused this problem). Needless to say if he does start to feel better and wants sex this whole fiasco has now messed me up and I have NO desire to have any relations… especially now that my self esteem is completely shot! Oh also I told him I don’t want him looking at porn, at least while we are having this problem and he freaked.. saying that I don’t have a right to tell him what not to do. Hmm… its my computer and I pay for the internet, plus I asked nicely before for him to not and he went behind my back and disrespected me!!! What do I do??? Sorry so long.

Open Question: What is going on with my Laptop?

Ok, first my computer kept crashing and saying "windows explorer has encountered". Then it says right after "Dr Watson postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem". I click don't send on both of them. Then this keeps happening for a week. Next my computer keeps going to random sites every the time. After that kept happening another problem occurred. My windows update just wouldn't turn on at every. It still isn't on right now. My Trend Micro usually detected the usual cookies and spyware that weren't harmful, and now it doesn't detect a thing! Can anyone help me and tell me how to fix this problem? If you do I'll give 10 points. Please help me! Also tell me how to prevent this from happening again. P.S. I have a dell laptop. i had a new motherboard and processor installed in my computer. when I got it back, YAHOO was the browser installed in my system. I am more familiar with MSN, so I would use it instead of YAHOO. I can receive into every other account feature. I can even look my voice bill and usage history. When I try to open voice account I receive directed to a verify my password screen. When I intentionally type in a bad password I receive the invalid password response. But when I type in my correct password the screen recycles like I hit the refresh button. I have cleaned up my caches, deleted cookies, close down firewalls, close off anti virus, used IE and mozilla browsers, even different computers. no changes. Open Question: Something strange is happening to my computer...?

certain websites can't be accessed. When I type their address into my address bar at the top of my browser, I instead receive redirected to this weird search engine website that acts as though that address is invalid. Open Question: Do I have avirus, and how do I get rid of it?

I clicked on yahoo answers a few minutes ago on my PC, and I started getting every these windows poping up saying somene was trying to infect my computer or something, (I think they were pop-ups) I didnt click on anything, but then this big so called vista antivirus thing came up and startedsaying I had like 60 viruses cookies, and spyware things on my computer, I thougt It was just another popup but then show the addresses it said it was scaning, and they were addresses that were on my computer, like blahblahblah/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2..., specific addresses that were every on my computer, I didnt click on anything, I went to my desktop, and some of my shortcuts were changing to internet linke like "FETISH PORN" and "VIRUS PROTECTION", even though I never had anything to do with anything like that, What is happenind and how do I receive rid of it? Open Question: My Disk Defragmenter doesnt work.?

Hey guys! please help quick! alright so here is the deal: about every two weeks or so i clean up my computer. i receive rid of my cookies and my internet history, temporary files, empty recycle bin, run every my virus protection software updates that i always leave out of because i am very impatient, and i run my disk driver cleanup and the disk defragmenter. But today when i tried to run it there was a very odd mistake message that popped it and it said "This version of Disk Defragmenter does not support running more than one instance." and i am not quite sure what that meant but i didnt have another disk defragmenter opened. Also i had just recently hidden a HUGE compressed file in a random folder below My Computer so i extracted it and put it below another folder on my desk top. It was originally in my shared folder. also i have windows xp not vista. Could that have anything to do with it? I really need your help! i just bought a new laptop from dell and i just found out it has a bad difficult steer! i cant have this computer go bad too!! thanks!

When I arrive home and view them, I look porn sites. I wouldn't mind this so much if we had a healthy sexual relationship but the fact that we don't makes me wonder why he would rather look at porn, lie to me about him having no urges for having sex with me and pleasuring himself (which he is clearly doing). I've tried to talk to him about this, but he always claims its the meds. I even asked him casually about porn sites and for some reason he gets so upset and mad and wont admit he goes to them, and if he says he does, its every once and awhile. But its more than once and awhile. I haven't brought up the fact that I know because I have checked the cookies, but I shouldn't have to, I just don't understand why he can't be honest. When we do have sex its honestly, mind blowing chemistry and we always have a great time. Resolved Question: How can I find out what my husband has been looking at on his MAC?

I walked in on my husband looking at porn, no big deal and nice of silly, although he could've waited until I wasn't home. The next day while he was at work I went to check his history and saw that it was cleared. Curious as to why, I looked up his cookies and saw many, many gay porn sites. Some with young 'teen' boys. This worries me extremely for reasons i would rather not receive into. . . Without me asking, he showed me the sites that he visits regularly and none of them were the same as the cookies list. I'm not sure how a MAC works so there wasn't much more info i could find. My question is, how exactly do the cookies work? I'm pretty sure that the reason the sites he looks at aren't on there is because he deletes his history (and checks the delete cookies box) after each session. So, could these just be pop ups? and how do find out when the sites were visited? Because he does have a used computer and perhaps these were from years ago. A bit confused. BTW, the only reason i think i need to look more into this is because of the content i found on the cookies and the 'teen' porn. I did tell him, when he showed me the sites that he views, what i did and he said that he does not go to the sites that were on the cookies and that he did not know why they were there except that perhaps they were pop ups. He also wondered, like me, why the sites that he did view weren't on the list???? I don't want to do anything drastic or dramatic until i can find out more, if that's even possible, because he a good man. Open Question: How do I speed up my laptop?

I have a few computers. But this one is giving me a speed issue. Its running slow even for a P3 1133 Mhz with 1GB of RAM. Its an IBM T23 running Windows XP Pro. I have the settings set for Best Performance with just a few things like XP Visuals checked for appearance. Yet is still runs really slow. I have run virus scans and Defrags to try to speed it up. Cleaned out the Cookies and Temp folders and compressed. No luck. Is there anyway to speed this thing up?

Open Question: Facebook and cookies?

So I tried to login to my Facebook account one day and then it said that cookies were not enabled and that I had to adjust the security preferences and every that. So I did it: I went to Options, then Privacy, then Advanced, and then did the cookies and checked every the boxes. And then I tried to login, but it either keeps displaying that cookies crap or it just doesn't display any message at every and shows me a blank login page. Hi, I have malware on my computer. I had Zango and got rid of that. Then I upgraded my internet browser to one with better security. I also cleared the malware (Zango) and bad cookies off. Open Question: Youtube always pauses after a couple seconds HELP!?

Okay, i have a Youtube problem. I used to be able to watch youtube videos easily and quickly. But now when i try to watch a video it plays regularly but the bar that shows how much it has loaded goes to slow because the play bar goes ahead of it which causes it to cease to buffer for 2 seconds and play and cease for 2 seconds so it takes long is there any way to help this? by the way i just bought my computer 5 days ago no viruses and nothing damaged. Open Question: How to get rid of 68 cookies?(Not the good choc chip kind)?

Ive used spybot s&d, spyware blaster,Avira , Comodo firewall and Winpatrol.Winpatrol is the only one picks them up but when I tick the box to send them to the underworld they just keep reappearing.Im a complete noob at computers but Im not a fan of cookies.Any help much appreciated. My man keeps deleting every the history and cookies. Can I block it so he cant delet it ...Can I make a folder were pictures and websites he is visistng svaed somewere even thow he is deleting history and cookies.I dont want a spyware cause then I cant confront him on anything Im not very good on the computer so If You can help me please explain it really good to me on what to do thanks so much everyone.

Open Question: What can I do to allow Netflix cookies on my computer?

I have tried the Internet Options, custom settings but I still receive a message stating my brower's cookies needs to be enabled. I've spoken to the website help and it's not their site. I've restored my computer to a 2 month earlier date when the site was accessed and it still doesn't work.

I've got an older PC. It's really getting slow. I've tried the normal thing of clearing the cookies and files, but it still says it's got like 4% memory left. Anything I can do at home to make it have more memory? I am not very computer literate, so please explain it in laymans terms if at every possible.

Open Question: Computer problems are getting worse? Please answer.?

I have the Dell 4700 serious. I bought the computer in 2005. In the last couple of weeks I've been having some technical issues with it so I've been calling Dell. 1.Not letting me log into some sites, odd mistake messages. I called Dell and they told me that I had VIRUS. So i paid $130. For a Dell to remove these viruses. 2.Dell told me to receive Norton. I was using Ad vast. So I bought that. 3. Now my computer is running extremely slow. I did a scan and it said that I had 2 tracking cookies? I fixed them. 4. I called dell back with yet another issue about my internet. They told me that it was corrupted and to use foxfire. They then told me that I only had 100MB of memory and that i need to buy more. So I bought 2GB (i play some online games so i need the room) I also bought the Radeon ATI 3650 Video card Express. Dell helped me install that as well. 5.after I installed the video card my computer is acting stranger then before. When i go to turn it on a black screen comes up and says Phoenix Bios ...... something. My remote for my keyboard and mouse will not work. I called dell and they had me remove the battery from the mom board.The had me do something in safe mode. They claimed it was fixed and that my computer crashed. However this happened this morning when i first turned it on. So i turned it off then on again and the black screen was gone. 6.Then i turned it back on again and a windows screen came up and stated:Checking File System on C: The volume is dirty? What does this every mean. Dell has been encouraging me to set my computer back to the date that I got it. That would mean loosing everything on my computer. Is my computer now prone to getting another virus. Does it sound like a new virus. Is my computer doomed?

Open Question: Computer gets corrupt and can't access tool bar when connected to the internet. I think explorer is corrupt?

I had a lot of problems with explorer to start, then things were so bogged down and my tool bar went black. After restarting the tool bar would read the hour glass and I couldn't receive in. I did a new exe search and cleaned out the prefetch, and was able to navigate and computer was quick. I was able to dl the explorer 7, but on restart the crap started up again. I ran AVG, and SUPER Anti spyware and found some tracking cookies, but nothing else. I already restored the computer back before it started, and no help. I also keep cleaning out my temp files because bugs hang out there often, and set up in prefetch to launch on restates so I cleaned that. Oh yes, this also took place after a blue screen episode. Any ideas? Anything would be appreciated. I think I have a bug I can't find. looks like I have a logonui virus / worm / trojan. I checked what was getting stuck in my prefetch first and there it is, then I checked them out on google and then when I found a malware program searched it out in my computer and found where it was hiding and removed it from every but where it's supposed to be, which is c:\windows\system32. I'll look how that works. Usually just removing a bad element doesn't totally rid you of the malware, but it kicks it in the nards for a while : ). My AVG and Super Anti Spyware didn't find it either.

Open Question: SOOO FRUSTRATING!!! Suddenly, my computer is not keeping cookies when I close a browser. WHY?

I've been searching the internet furiously trying to figure this out, not because I'm lazy, but because I'm worried that there is something worse wrong with my computer. Here's the deal: I open a browser (Firefox, IE7, Safari... etc. every do the same thing) and log into Yahoo mail or 99designs, or any other site, where normally I can close my browser and stay logged in. I close my browser, and BAM! I find myself logging in again. Normally, I don't have to do that at every. This just started today. I ran System Restore because I thought a driver I installed yesterday caused the problem or there was some bug in the Windows update that occurred yesterday. Nothing. My clock is right. It was successfully synced with the internet at midnight. My cookies are enabled and they are set to the lowest privacy level (Accept every Cookies). Win Firewall is off, Norton Firewall is on, but it's always been on. Tried deleting cookies and it seems the cookies are being written and not removed. They're just not being read upon browser start-up. I also ran the "Cookies Test" and they are "enabled and functioning." WHY WHY WHY??? Please help me figure this out!

Open Question: Slow Windows Load Screen + Other PC Issues?

Ok what I'm about to ask probably may not make much sense so try and bare with me because at this point I'm beyond frustration. Last month or so my windows load screen - the one after the Dell screen & the blue Windows screen - has started acting odd. What I mean by odd is usually it'll have the little blue bar? go left to right - ya know loading - about 10 to 15 times .. now and yes I've counted it can take anywhere from 65 or more. By then I tend to reboot & only after doing the 'restore to last good whatever it's called' does it boot up normally 1. Yes I've tried starting in both safe & normal mode 2. Yes I've defragged, used disk cleaner 3. No, I can NOT Reformat due to a cd rom / cd issue 4. No, I can NOT go back to factory what ever you call it 5. No, I have NOT yet tried going back in time The only thing I've used / had / done differently recently is uploaded Spore. Could that be it? I've like 29% memory left so I don't think that would be the problem. Now, In the four or five days my computer has started to reboot. No problem keep it usually rarely does it, now it seems to do it every day. I also have to sometimes upon restarting the pc replug in my wireless & even other times twice now in the past few days my monitor has gone off like ya know it's off I turn it on, it doesnt' arrive on so I have to reboot. Yes that's happened before but not recently until this last few days. So have I confused anyone yet? My tech pal said he'd suggest reformating but obviously I can't. Anyone have any other suggestions that they might think of I have a Dell 5150 Windows XP & yes, I've run virus scan most it had was a few cookies and I have AVG which is from my tech pal highly recommended. Open Question: I believe my brother is gay. What do I do?

Ok, I know this is probably a very common question but I need to add my possess personal details. 1.My proof is that when I found his DeviantArt account I found in his favorites some very sexual things of boys, and only boys. And at first I thought it wasn't his. But I have learned it is. I've even found gay porn cookies on the computer. 2 My brother is only 11 years old, so I'm wondering if he's just bicurious. 3. I adore my brother to death. 4. He goes to a public school, and I'm afraid that he might receive beat up and teased terribly if he tells. 5. I'm perfectly fine with him being gay, I'm just worried about what other people will think 6. I'm only 13, so I'm afraid to tell my friends, my family, and my brother. So please help me, I don't want to embarrass my brother or change our relationship. But I do think that maybe something needs to be done, or maybe nothing until he truly finds out and tells us.
